Everyone loves an award!

Tomorrow I will continue my discussion of The Shallows, but today I want to take a moment to celebrate. First, a warm and hearty congratulations to fellow Great Potential Press authors Joy Lawson Davis and Teresa Smith Masiello for their recent Arizona Book  Awards! Joy won in the Parenting/Family Issues category for Bright, Talented and Black (read a review), and Teresa won in the Education/Teaching/Academic category for Guiding Advanced Readers in Middle School. You can see a complete list of winners at the Arizona Book Publishing Association website.

Also, I’m very pleased that The Smart Teens’ Guide to Living with Intensity was named best book in both the Juvenile/Young Adult—Nonfiction and Psychology/Self-Help categories. Continued thanks to everyone at Great Potential Press for their support!

  1. That is Wonderful! Congrats!

We just got it in mail for my son, I haven’t had a chance to read it yet! The first few pages are so great! I wanted email you to tell you, you wrote the perfect book. It is so fitting for my son.
    Thank you so much!

I just got the “Parent’s Guide to Gifted Teens.” I can’t wait to read them both! 🙂

    • Dee, thank you so much for taking the time to write this! Please do keep in touch as you read the book. I’d love to know more of your (and your son’s) thoughts. My email is lisarivero @ sbcglobal . net (remove the spaces)
