Oscar Winners and News (no, not that Oscar)

OscarOscar (no, not that one) is now available for the iPad from iTunes. This was one of the reasons for choosing to make the book available through Smashwords (otherwise, a Mac, which I don’t have, is needed to publish directly to Apple). The other reason for using Smashwords is that it allows authors to generate coupons for free review ebook copies.

Oscar the GrouchThank you to everyone who left a comment for a chance to receive one of two free paperback copies! This morning I listed all the names of people who left comments this week, numbered them, then used a random integer generator to choose two winners, who are…

Oscar Wilde… MomOfFour and Michelle B.! Please look for an email from me with a request for your mailing addresses.

Oscar Micheaux

As always, please let me know what you think of the book (use the contact form in the top menu or send an email to lisarivero at sbcglobal dot net). Also, if you enjoy the book, please consider leaving a review at Amazon  or tagging the book there with pertinent categories (much more useful than if the author does the tagging).

Other Misc. News:

Yesterday I was happy to mail copies to the five giveaway winners from Goodreads (from 338 entrants).

The discussion and teacher’s guides will be ready by mid-month.

Happy Saturday, everyone!

  1. So exciting to this book on Amazon having followed its journey via your blog. I wish this book had been around when I was a kid, I would have loved it. Even though I’m 20 I think I will purchase an edition for my Kindle to have a read anyway , I can’t believe it’s only just over £2.00 on the UK Amazon. An absolute bargain. Hope your sales flourish and Oscar gets the readership he deserves.

    • Katie, thank you so much! The researching for and writing and even formatting of the book were a ton of fun–now comes the more challenging part, marketing. It helps a lot to know someone is cheering Oscar on from across the big pond. 🙂

Your home-made posts are so pretty and inspiring.
